Support Classical Studies

Endowed Programs

Generous contributions from our donors have resulted in endowments, which generate yearly income to support the programs described below. Other donors have given us one time gifts, that we use to support faculty and student research, to offer lectures and sponsor special events, and for student enrichment.

J. Ward Jones Lecture

This annual lecture, delivered by a distinguished scholar, is named in honor of Emeritus Professor J. Ward Jones Jr.

Hogan Fund

Income from this fund allows the department to offer Hogan Prizes, which frequently take the form of summer grants to help with the costs related to travel, excavation, or other educational enrichment.

Your contribution to the Classical Studies Department will help our faculty members provide the best learning experience to our students. We use the fund to support students' opportunities to study abroad, provide student scholarships, and supplement our curriculum with visits from distinguished guest scholars. We are also hoping in the near future to fund improvements to our departmental museum/library.

Give now to Classical Studies

We welcome contributions from alumni and friends in any amount, and every gift makes a difference.

You can contribute online now with your credit card, using our secure web server. The contribution form will be pre-selected to direct your gift to the general academic fund for the Classical Studies Department, which supports student and faculty needs directly.
