Apply for a May Seminar grant
We are now accepting applications for May Seminar grants for the '24-'25 academic year. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis during the academic year and will not be reviewed during the summer months. Applications will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis until funds are spent. (Applications for the '25-'26 academic year will open September 1, 2025.)
In order to complete your application for a May Seminar grant through the Charles Center, you will need to have the following information available for the online application form:
- First name
- Last Name
- Banner ID (93#)
- Your W&M email address
- Your role (e.g., tenured/tenure eligible faculty)
- Home department/program
- Names and Banner IDs (93#) for all participants. Don't forget to include yourself!
- Short title for your proposal (80 characters or less)
- Approximate project start date (mm/dd/yyyy)
- Approximate project end date (mm/dd/yyyy)
- Please briefly describe your May Seminar (~250 words or fewer):
- The May Seminars program is supported by private donor funds. Please help us demonstrate the impact of this program to our donors by providing a summary of how these funds will be used to enhance teaching and learning. You may reuse language from your answer above, provided that it is accessible to a donor audience (at least 150 words).

Budget information: Please provide a May Seminar budget.We are required to follow W&M's business meal policy. Please be aware that current meal limits for the Williamsburg area are $14 for breakfast, $16 for lunch, and $29 for dinner.
