The William & 玛丽 team has just WON the annual EU Schuman Challenge competition, to give advice on a vital issue related to Transatlantic security. This year’s topic was the future of the Minsk Accords and efforts to defend Ukraine’s sovereignty within its legally-recognized borders. Our undergraduate team—Grace Kier ‘20, Joseph Bistransky ‘19, and George Barros ‘19–really showed deep mastery of the contemporary geopolitical situation and of EU policy making processes. We beat a field of 16 universities from around the country, including places like Tufts, UNC Chapel Hill, and the University of Washington.
