Undergraduate Research Showcase
4月7日星期五,现代语言文学系在Blow 332举办了一年一度的春季活动——本科生研究展示会。 我们很高兴有来自中国、法语/法语国家和俄罗斯研究项目的七位演讲者和五位精彩的演讲。 These included:
- Alex Earls, "French Universalism Sets the Stage for Treaty Compliance"
- Xiwen Liu, "Unpacking the Autonomy of Chinese NGOs in the Internet Philanthropy Landscape: A Case Study of 99 Giving Day"
- Aliia Woodworth, "The World of Chinghiz Aitmatov"
- Alexandra Byrne, "Inalienable for Whom? Activism and the Politics of Postcolonial Restitution in French Museums"
- Daniella Marx, Kathryn Webb, and Ken Butcher, "The Geopolitics of Religion: Reclaiming Rights for Muslims in Georgia"
These presentations were diverse in terms of academic discipline, geographical area, and historical period. The event was well attended -- with about forty students and faculty in the audience. The presenters shared their research findings, which were extremely fascinating and enlightening. The presentations were followed by a lively Q&A.
