Meet the Executive Board

The Peer Advisor Executive Board is composed of an elite group of senior Peer Advisors who collaborate with the Office of Undergraduate Academic Affairs to manage the Peer Advising Program. The board’s responsibilities include;

leadership of all Peer Advisors,
designing and facilitating Peer Advisor training, communication and marketing strategies;
programs, recruitment and retention of Peer Advisors;
teach College Studies course for Spring and Fall orientation;
plan, organize and participate in special events or activities that promotes William & 玛丽 and serves the W&M undergraduate community.

Exec Board Bios
	Yana Gleiman '26 Position: Recruitment & Communication Chair Hometown/State: Manassas, Virginia Major(s)/Minor: Economics Social class: Junior Future Plans: Intend to eventually work as a financial analyst or get involved in the private sector. I would also enjoy working as a general data analyst or get involved with research. Hobbies: I enjoy some creative hobbies such as drawing and painting (I find it relaxing to sketch a lot), as well as learning and trying new games. I’m also an avid runner, and used to be a barista, so I really enjoy making fun coffee and tea-related drinks I see online. Fun Fact (if you have one): I went to three separate schools for kindergarten due to how much I was moving around at the time! A word of wisdom for our incoming Freshman and transfer students: Do your best to put yourself out there when coming to a new school. I understand it’s not easy (and can be straight up terrifying), but the payoff you will receive by meeting new people and having a community to rely on will make everything worth it.
	Portia Dai '26 Position: Training & Development Chair Hometown/State: Virginia Major(s)/Minor: English and Secondary Education Social class: Junior Future Plans: I plan to go back to Fairfax County Public Schools and teach high school English. In the more distant future, I am interested in educational administration. Hobbies: I enjoy hiking and taking walks, watercolor, and doing crafts.__ Fun Fact About Me: I have never broken a bone. A word of wisdom for our incoming Freshman and Transfer students: One of my favorite things about W&M is the community, so my biggest tip for incoming students is to join clubs, meet new people, and try new things.
	Raiha Javaid '26 Position: Administrative Chair Hometown/State: Clifton, VA Major(s)/Minor: Neuroscience major, Data Science minor Social class: Junior Future Plans: Explore the intersection between neuroscience and data science Hobbies: Reading, spending time with friends, spending time outside, and swimming Fun Fact About Me: I'm an avid stargazer and can identify planets just by looking at them A word of wisdom for our incoming Freshman and transfer students: Try new things and go to a bunch of events to meet other people! It never hurts to step out of your comfort zone and embrace new experiences
