周六晚,学生大会(SA)和母校制作公司(AMP)的代表宣布,摇滚乐队Third Eye Blind将于2012年2月4日在威廉玛丽大厅举行第二届年度特许日音乐会。

The concert announcement came during the College’s annual Yule Log ceremony, the last tradition of the fall semester before Charter Day, the first tradition of the spring semester.

Tickets will be available to both the campus community and public in January via the AMP website.

Since the band formed in the early 1990s, Third Eye Blind has released four studio albums, including 2009’s “Ursa Major.” They are known for chart-topping songs including “Semi-Charmed Life,” Jumper” and “How’s It Gonna Be.” They’ve won a Billboard Music Award and received nominations for two American Music Awards.

Charter Day celebrates the day on which the College received its royal charter. In recent years, the university recast the event as a birthday celebration for the school, featuring new aspects – including an annual concert – to garner additional student interest.

The opening act for the 2012 Charter Day concert will be announced in the weeks leading up the event.
