UNIVERSITY HUMAN RESOURCES

William & 玛丽’s Employee Relations team assists staff with questions related to staff concerns and issues. The ER team provides guidance to supervisors addressing an employee’s work performance or conduct, responds to reported harassment or workplace bullying that is not based on a protected class, and assists employees with grievances for issues such as performance evaluations, reassignment of duties, or reorganization of a unit.

OFFICE OF COMPLIANCE & EQUITY

OC&E responds to reports of discrimination or harassment against individuals belonging to a protected class, such as race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, veteran status, genetic information, and citizenship. In addition, OC&E responds to reports of sexual harassment and other types of sexual misconduct. OC&E is responsible for objectively investigating complaints related to these issues reported by employees.

UNIVERSITY OMBUDS

William & 玛丽 Ombuds Office serves as a confidential, informal resource for all categories of employees seeking assistance with workplace concerns. Individuals can talk to the Ombuds in confidence about any work-related concern, no matter how big or small. Leaders may also confidentially consult with the Ombuds on managing workplace conflict. The Ombuds Office is independent from the administration and University Human Resources, is not an office of notice, and does not have an investigative role.
