List of Candidates and Candidate Statements

Dianne Alleman

Associate Director of Donor Relations
Reves Center for International Studies

I serve as the Associate Director of Donor Relations at the Reves Center. My role is to direct the stewardship and engagement initiatives of the Reves Center for International Studies, and to manage and support the Reves Board and the Harriman Board.

In my almost 15 years at the university, I have seen a number of changes, challenges and transitions. I have built strong relationships with colleagues across campus and have greatly benefited from these collaborations. I am very grateful for the work of the PPFA and the Staff Assembly, and their impact on the work life of all employees at the university. We are living in a very uncertain time, and I am at a point where I want to be able to give back to the William & 玛丽 community. I hope that I will be able to do so as a member of the PPFA. Thank you for your consideration!

Matthew Barrett

Associate Director, Residential Graduate Programs
Raymond A. Mason. School of Business

As the Student Services staff member for residential MBA students, I provide academic advising, serve as the MBA Association advisor, and oversee signature events, including the Business School graduation and the Beta Gamma Sigma induction. My role allows me to support students in their academic and leadership journeys while fostering a strong, engaged MBA community. I am eager to serve on the PPFA to advocate for student needs, collaborate with faculty and staff, and contribute to initiatives that enhance the William & 玛丽 student experience. I look forward to bringing my expertise and passion for student success to this role.

Charles Fulcher

Director of Wren Operations and Events
Office of the President

I am honored to care for the Wren Building by managing students who volunteer/work in the building, scheduling building events, and improving the experience of all visitors. As a museum professional for two decades, my focus has always been on building connections between audiences, staff, content, and institutions. Serving in the PPFA would be a special opportunity to bring that same approach to fostering better experiences for colleagues at the university and to building a stronger, more engaged community. Thank you for your consideration and for the possibility to serve W&M through the PPFA.

Corinne Hoffhines

Area Director, Residence Life
Student Affairs

I am excited at the opportunity to work with the PPFA. In my current position as an Area Director, I consistently advocate for our students while also collaborating with colleagues across departments. I wish to apply those skills to advocate for and support staff across the university. We can only best support our students if our staff feel supported and valued, so I hope to become a part of that through PPFA.

Andrew Kandell

Assistant Director of Employer Development & Engagement
Office of Career Development & Professional Engagement

In my position, I collaborate with external employers, on-campus departments, students, and alumni to provide opportunities to connect via career fairs, job/internship postings, and other recruiting events. Essentially, helping build the connection between a student's time at W&M to a career! I am interested in serving on PPFA because it would be an incredible opportunity to connect with W&M on a larger level and to serve my colleagues across campus by being a voice for their opinions, concerns, and experiences. I would love the opportunity to help continue to make W&M an amazing place for staff, faculty, alumni, and students!

Ella Knight

Assistant Dean
Undergraduate Admission

I work in the Office of Undergraduate Admission as an Assistant Dean and also lead a student group called the Griffin Ambassadors. This puts me in a unique position to experience both current & prospective students. I really care about both populations and want to connect with ways to best serve them and the WM community as a whole.

Trey Mayo

Assistant Dean for Graduate Studies
Graduate Arts & Sciences

I currently serve as Assistant Dean for Graduate Studies in A&S. I have served at two other institutions in Virginia (VT and ODU) and have worked with their constituency groups for professionals/professional faculty. Since joining W&M, I’ve been pleased to see how PPFA hosts more social and campus engagement events for our employee class. I found it to be a helpful way to meet more colleagues as a new employee who joined in the middle of the academic year. If elected to serve on PPFA at W&M, I would use my advocacy experiences from VT and ODU to help increase awareness of professionals/professional faculty and the unique circumstances that affect our employee class.

Aja Moore

Associate Director of Government and External Affairs
Office of Government and External Affairs

I am honored to be considered to serve on the Professionals and Professional Faculty Assembly. As a newer face to William & 玛丽 specifically, and Higher Education generally, I feel as though this would be a great way to expand my network at W&M. In addition to the exciting idea of network expansion, It would be a personal growth role to take on to connect with my colleagues and have an even deeper understanding of what their work-life is at the university. My role in state and federal work can only become more impactful as I have inherit deeply rooted connections to grow and continuously learn from as I advocate for the university's priorities. I appreciate the outreach and consideration to hopefully become apart of PPFA. Thank you.

Cortney Will

Associate Director of Leadership & Internal Communications
University Communications

My team supports communications in three offices: Provost, EVP for Finance & Administration, and Senior Vice President for Student Affairs & Public Safety. Additionally, we lead internal communications for the university. These roles reinforce for me the importance of strong assembly representation. I’ve had the opportunity to witness the power of employees working on their own and in community with colleagues as they improve the flow of communication throughout the university, influence key decisions and policies, and safeguard critical worker protections. I would welcome the opportunity to serve W&M’s PPFA and be part of such a powerful employee forum.

Monique Williams

Director, Center for Student Diversity
Student Affairs

I was invited to apply for the PPFA, and I am excited about the opportunity. As Director of the Center for Student Diversity, I am committed to advancing William & 玛丽’s values of excellence, belonging, and flourishing. I value cross-campus collaboration and strive to build bridges across departments to enhance access and success for all. At W&M, I serve on various university committees, and I also hold position on several boards within my community. My leadership reflects a passion for advocating for policies and practices that support the diverse needs of professionals and a commitment to improving our work-life experiences. Serving on the PPFA would allow me to elevate staff voices, foster connection across campus, and provide equity-minded leadership consistent with inclusive representation in institutional decision-making.
