Community Consultants at William & 玛丽 are part-time student staff members responsible for the Center for Community Development. The Community Consultant is a member of the Residence Life staff reporting directly to a Assistant Director, the Associate Vice President for Campus Living, and ultimately to the Vice President for Student Affairs.
Community Consultants will comply with all policies, procedures, and conditions printed in the current edition of the Student Handbook, the Residence Life Student Staff Manual, the Community Consultant Employment Agreement, the Student Acknowledgement of Confidentiality in Working with Administrative Data Agreement, and the written expectations provided by the Assistant Director.
Community Consultants will report directly to the Graduate Assistant for Community Development. Community Consultants work an average of eight (8) hours per week over the spring and fall semesters per the dates specified in the Employment Agreement.
Position Description
- Assist with timely projects inside the Center for Community Development
- Assist in the inventory of supplies.
- Assist with print request and other tasks in the CCD.
- Plan and organize initiatives for Campus Living Student Leaders.
- Assist with the publication of the CCD Connects (Newsletter)
- Provide support with the creation and evaluation of bulletin boards in the residential communities.
Preferred Candidate Qualifications
- Strong desire to support the development of community within the residence halls and across campus through the Center for Community Development
- Comfortable problem-solving while working both individually and collaboratively
- Strong Communication skills (in person and via email)
- Customer service experience
Position Benefits & Details

- Pay: $12.41/hour
- Hours: 8/ week + training & staff meetings
